Looking for a simple, uplifting way to add more reflection and positivity to your day? That’s exactly what my Healing Texts service provides.
Here’s how it works:
Each weekday, I introduce a fresh message. Maybe it’s about “Boundaries,” “Self-Love,” or “Accepting Change.” One day you might see a thought-provoking quote. Another day a life tip, a personal reflection question you can journal or meditate on, or maybe even a brief challenge or exercise to help you grow.
Multiple Ways to Receive Messages
Via Text: Want to get these messages straight to your phone? Subscribe by email to unlock my private phone number. Once you text “Hi,” you’ll be on the list to receive Healing Texts directly via SMS.
Via Email: If texts aren’t your thing or you live outside the U.S. or Canada, I’ll gladly deliver them to your inbox, so you never miss a day’s encouragement.
On the Substack App: Prefer an app for all your reading? No problem. Every message is posted there, too, so you can catch up on the week’s messages at your convenience.
Why It Works
Consistency: Daily messages keep you on track, reminding you to pause, reflect, and engage with the week’s focus.
Variety: From quotes to exercises, the daily texts are never one-size-fits-all. Different formats help you explore each topic from multiple angles.
Flexibility: You can choose how and where you get these messages—by text, email, or on Substack—so they fit easily into your life.
If you’re ready to begin, just subscribe by email on my website. You’ll gain access to my phone number (for U.S. and Canada), and you can also opt to get messages via email or the Substack app. I’m excited to be part of your journey, one text at a time.
Here’s to a week of meaningful reflection and a lifetime of growth!

Beyond Healing Texts
Some people want to stay with the messages as they are. Others want a way to carry the work a little further, off the phone and into daily life. If that’s you, there are a few options available.
Books — Wood Island Books gathers the posts that resonated most with readers and puts them into books for people who want to spend more time with the writing.
Journals — Designed for reflection and integration, these journals offer space to write through the thoughts that don’t surface easily, with prompts meant to support honesty rather than performance.
Merchandise — Hoodies, shirts, and journals created as simple reminders to keep going. Practical pieces meant to carry the tone of this work into everyday life.
I also write in two longer form newsletters that explore different sides of this work.
Healing Thoughts — A reflective newsletter focused on steadiness, regulation, and everyday healing, with writing meant to slow things down and name what often goes unnoticed.
Shadow Thoughts — A darker companion newsletter that explores anger, grief, identity, and the parts of healing that don’t fit neatly into optimism.
There’s no expectation to follow everything.
These are simply options, available when you want to take the work off the screen and into your hands, your routines, or your inner life.
